About Us
OUR VISION
Founded in 1990, the Cambridge University Hong Kong and China Affairs Society (CUHKCAS) is primarily dedicated to promoting concern, interest, and conversations regarding social, political, economic, and cultural issues in Hong Kong and greater China. To encourage this exchange of ideas, we organise year-round speaker events through the Social Innovators Programme (SIP), an annual conference “Reflections”, and publish an annual magazine “Our Time”. We aim to adapt concordantly to recent developments in the two regions, while standing firm in our values.
As one of the two student-run Hong Kong societies at Cambridge with more than 200 active members, CUHKCAS is also committed to building a cohesive and inclusive community of Hong Kongers at the University. To this end, we collaborate with the Cambridge University Chinese Society to organise freshers’ events, as well as socials throughout the year.
